Cooperate to learn and act together!

An educational movement at the service of school cooperatives, The Central Office for School Cooperation, created in 1928, is a federation of regional and departmental associations which gathers affiliated school cooperatives. The OCCE brings together cooperative members, young people and adults from the classroom, the school, the establishment, from kindergarten to high school.
The OCCE is a popular education pedagogical movement which encourages and supports cooperation as a central value at the School and militates for the practice of cooperation, citizen participation and for the democratic development of associative life in the field of education. As such, an agreement binds the Federation and the Ministry of National Education.

Cooperation, an engine of engagement

Cooperation changes the status of the student and the teacher. It takes into account and values the identity of each student so that the School becomes a place for self-development and knowledge of others. The dynamics of projects, whatever the disciplinary field, invites participation in cooperative councils, fundamental institutions for a democratic life at school. It also promotes awareness, critical thinking, thereby contributing to the development of citizenship and the emancipation of all students from kindergarten to high school.
